Default Coolant reservoir leak?

I think my coolant reservoir is leaking. Gets low after a day, there's a puddle of coolant on the ground (not an internal leak). I have a few pics, maybe if someone that's experienced this can see if matches up.

Tstat and waterpump are both new. Hoses are in nice shape.

That's my question. Are the reservoirs a common leaking point? Or is it more likely to be another hose or something in that general area?

The only one who can get to the bottom of your issue is you. Go look at the reservoir and see if it is leaking. A pair of eyes should be the first tool that you use.

My question is, is there anything else that can follow a path similar to that? Yes, I know I could take apart the whole XJ and find the leak, but I just want to know if anyone has had the same drip or if it's a common mistake to think the reservoir is leaking. I.E. how many oil filter housing seals get diagnosed falsely as a rear main. That is all I'm asking. I'm not asking anyone to come here and look at it. I just want a general consensus if this is a common issue or if it's unlikely and I need to keep looking.

Also, there the end of a female connector just sticking out down in that area by the reservoir. I'm assuming that's for a coolant level sensor if the tank was equipped with one?

It's only a few screws that hold the reservoir in place, pull the reservoir off and look.
