can i put a transfer case on a manual transmission or does it need to be converted.

 

Well as long as the transfer case is from an XJ that had a manual tranny it should not matter. If you are trying to take one from an XJ that had an auto tranny and put it in an XJ with a manual tranny it will not work as far as I know. You must also ensure the transfercase you are trying to use is exactly what you have.
