Default Control arms?

I have 4.5'' lift on my XJ with stock control arms and 30'' tires on it. It almost rubs at the back of the front fenders, so I know it will when I put 33s on it someday. I know I need new lower control arms to get the axle to move forward, but do I also need new uppers? or is it even worth it to get 4 new control arms for $300 when you get get a RC Long Arm that comes with a better crossmember, tcase skid, and the benifis of a long arm for $650? Please help, I have no clue what the better option is lol thanks

Well in most opinions the long arm kit will be the better choice. Its really all up to. I have a rc4.5 in lift with 33s and mine is very close to scrubbing the back of the front fenders. Just placed a order for re lca and am looking for some uca now. Can't afford to go long arm right now. Ha. Just another step on the jeep ladder.

For the extra $300 I'd go with the rc longarms.

So did your RC 4.5 not come with control arms? or are they just too short?

My RC 6.5" came with everything. Cost a little more but had everything.

they have kits that leave out some parts and they have kits that have everything best to call and ask a sales rep which package comes with wut and make sure it comes with everything you need

The ones that came with the lift weren't long enough. Hence the reason for getting different ones. Looking for some uppers now. Long arms is a long ways off for me.
