Condensation in oil.

Some engines seem to be more susceptible to this, for whatever reason. But the real wildcard, as has been discussed, is the short drives. Those short drives are worst case for your oil.
I agree that with very short drives, you need to increase your oil change intervals. Oil is pretty inexpensive.
If you continue to be concerned, you can have a BLOCK TEST performed. It basically sniffs the coolant for the presence of hydrocarbons (oil). Most any shop can do this for you for a reasonable charge, and I have even seen a do-it-yourself block test sold by Napa for around $40.

Have you checked to make sure your PCV system (or CCV system, as Jeep "redesigned" it) is functioning properly? One of its functions is to draw that junk out of the oil and into the engine to be burnt off.
I had this happen with my F150 a couple years ago, I thought there was water in the oil in the pan, til I noticed the milky stuff was only on one side of the dipstick...turns out there was some condensation in the dipstick tube that would get on the dipstick as you removed it.
