Default Collapsed upper radiator hose

Why did that just happen? Temp gauge went in the red pulled over turned it off let pressure out of rad cap re started it ad the hose collapsed. After a few restarts and revving it went back to normal. I just put an entires exhaust on it and all cooling system parts are new.

Did you change the water pump?

It's possible to get a water pump that is designed to turn in the different direction from what you are supposed to have.

Nope that was new over a year ago. I did the exhaust the other day. It's seems fine now but I'd liked to know what caused it..

And besides the cap see that the tube to the over-flow is free into the bottle. The way it works is it sucks coolant back into the radiator through a one way valve in the cap, as it cools. Maybe it overheated because it got low on coolant?
