Default cold air intakes

im looking at different cold air intakes
i just want a little better fuel economy and who doesn't want increased power and torque?!
do you guys have cold air intakes(cai) on your jeeps or not? this is my daily driver. oh and its 4.0 I6

well they all look about the same. If I were you I'd just get the cheapest one. They all acomplish the same thing... Another option is just going with the snorkel. If your gonna pay $250+ for an intake, why not spend another $100 or so and get an ARB Safari snorkel. Better airflow, colder air flow, somewhat forced induction and they look badass...Just my opinion.

I would do anything but the Airaid because it looks like it uses the factory airbox and tubes and I think a aftermarket would be better, less bends and better airflow, but I would not know forsure, just my opinion

I have also been thinking about what to get and i mus say im thinking im going to go with the ARB Safari snorkel, or a kick *** home made snorkel it looks bad *** and it will help when off roading

Honestly, just drop the coin for a snorkel. Not only will you not have to worry about hydro-locking your engine but you will gain a true "Cold Air" intake. The systems you're looking at are better than just a cone filter but at the end of the day they still suck air from inside the engine bay.

I installed this same one and imo it was well worth the money. You can definetly tell a better response in the throttle and the mileage is a little better. In the November issue of JP Magazine, they had an article called " Jeep 4.0L Myths & Legends " and it talked about the cold air intakes.
