1997 cherokee 4x2 runs and drives great. why this code. owned it for a year now.

 

torque converter clutch solenoids/trans relay circuits, is what the book says.

 

There are a few possibilities, but strange as it sounds, dirty transmission fluid can cause this one.

What is the history of fluid changes on this transmission?
