Default Code P0545

Our '98 has a very late build date (5-98) and the '98 FSM does not show a code P0545.....it does show P0645. Anyone with a '99 FSM.....does it show a code P0545? Thanks.

Did you ever find a solution to this code? I just bought a 98 Cherokee today and its throwing the P0545 code and I can't find any info on it.

It is a very rare code to pop up (leave it to djb to suffer from this, , but from what I can find online, P0545 is an A/C clutch relay circuit : Problem detected in ac clutch relay control circuit.

Default P0545

I recently bought an Actron OBD II Pocketscan to pull and turn off random misfire codes in 2000 Cherokee Limited.... the manual that came with it states P0545 is Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

Just my two cents....

Yea, I saw that code and it would be valid for certain vehicles that have an exhaust gas temp sensor. But the Jeep XJ doesn't have one.

It can be confusing as you can have the same code that means one thing for a Dodge pickup for example, and have a completely different explanation for a Jeep Cherokee.

My '99 FSM shows that AC Clutch relay circuit as well. The 2000 FSM still lists it. The 2001 diagnostics list doesn't list P0545.

Edit: Replace you AC Clutch relay and see it goes away.
