Replace the alternator, I just went through all of this last week. The check engine light would come on, but the voltage was normal. If I restarted the engine the light would not come on. I checked and cleaned all of the PCM and charging system connections. My alternator ended up crapping out on me at 5 in the morning on my way to work. I replaced it and the problem was solved. I took the cover off of the back of the old alternator and found the brushes were worn out and not making contact. The brushes are replaceable, but nobody will have them in stock, plus you'll still have the old bearings, diodes, stator, ect.

Code 41 is usually related to a failing alternator.

Also move the cables. If they feel stiff and very hard, there is corrosion in the cables. Brush clean all terminals as well. Change cables as needed. Volt test the terminals too if you wanna see what it is doin. Free test at Autozone!!

Check the condition of your cables, terminal ends, etc. in the charging system, that includes the battery terminals. A high functioning alternator can be taken out by dirty and corroded terminals and corroded cables. The corrosion in cables begins at the terminal and works it's way up the cable. If you strip the insulation back and find corrosion it's time for new leads.
