As some of you know, I've been restoring my '87, on and off as time and money allows, for several years. It's time to get it ready to move out of the garage for a good cleaning. Tonight I decided to tackle bleeding the clutch slave cylinder. Being an '87, it has an internal slave, and the problematic BA-10. My intention was to get it on the road and get by for four years or so until I can swap the transmission to a later AX-15 and all the matching parts.
Rust not being my friend, all the fittings were frozen. Enter PB Blaster. I couldn't free the bleeder, but was able to remove the cap at the end of the bleeder line that has the bleeder in it. I'm trying to brainstorm how to made do. I can drill out what is left of the bleeder, but I keep forgetting that what I see outside isn't just a simple zerk fitting. Any suggestions how to fabricate something?
I can, for now, just unscrew the cap and re-screw it on to bleed the system. That's how I was able to get the drivetrain freed up of tension I put on it by bumping the engine to verify the clutch was engaged when the pedal was depressed.
