clutch question???

Engine: 4.0 straight 6
clutch question???
92 cherokee sport 4.0 5 speed,
just rebuilt the engine and when I put it back in on the test run my clutch pedal releases way up high and when driving it slips like it wont go, under power similar to what an automatic trans does when it starts to slip.
jeep has new clutch slave,mastercylinder and clutch, all were replaced just a few months ago.........what could be causing this??
any ideas on whet to look for???
