Got a nice deal on a 92 Cherokee Sport.Its 4.0l 5 speed. It runs good and at first it shifts fine but after a little bit of driving it wont shift gears. Usaully when I go out it shifts fine but after driving over 55 for a while and i want to shift it wont go into another gear. I can shut it off and it will pop in gear but it is hard to shift after that unless i let it sit. What is my main focus here? Im probley going to change the clutch cause its probley the original but what should I focus on for this problem? And can anyone tell me what i am going to have to do to change it. Also im not getting good oil pressure but im going to check sensor and pump for that otherwise I love my jeep just need help to preserve her want to get 400,000 miles on it atleast.

 

check gear oil in trans mine did this i just thought the trans was going i checked mine and water had gotten int so i drained and filled with new synthetic fluid shifts much better now

 

On my 92 how to I bleed the clutch fluid. I got dot 3 brake fluid to do it. is the bleeder next to the tranny?

 

I read yur post wrong is it the clutch fluid for the master cylider or the traany oil?
