clutch... not... letting go.... ??

Default clutch... not... letting go.... ??

if you push in the clutch to the floor... go into or out of gear it kinda jumps... like maybe the clutch isnt opening all the way or something... what would cause this? i know nothing about cluch systems... just how to drive the heck out of them... lol thanks again yall

Could be the clutch master cylinder. Check your fluid. Have some one press the clutch in and see if the clutch arm going into the bell housing is moving fully.

alright... ill give that a try... any other ideas while im under there peoples? fluids good of course... if its not moving completely what does that generally mean? thanks

my buddy just had this happen to his yj. I would check the fluid level first, if it was low it would act like that, they self bleed so just fill it up. On my friends jeep though it was his slave cylinder leaking fluid which he had to replace.

Yep...agree with housew. Just had to replace the slave cylinder that developed a slow leak. After refilling the fluid, I would get about 8 hours before another refill. PITA...but all is good now.

its a buddies and i havent looked myself but he says theres no leak and its got the same amount of fluid in it since the day he got it 3ish years ago... hhmm... i dunno...
