Default Clutch issues. What did I do wrong?

1999 Jeep Cherokee with ax-15, all stock with 247k. Drove just fine before I touched it. Clutch issues, what did I do wrong? I was toying around and crawled under the Jeep to the clutch slave cylinder. I got to it, undo two bolts and point the plunger towards the ground and start pumping while the reservoir cap was off. Did it 20 times and re install and I did make sure I put the plunger towards the fork indent. I hopped in, I had way too hard clutch pedal feel and nothing, no clutch. So i went under again, undo the slave cylinder and the starter hole to check to make sure both fork is on the pivots. Still nothing. What did I do wrong? It sounds like the fork is not connected to the throw out bearing.... Do I have to take the tranny out to fix the issue?

If it ain't broke don't fix it. You screwed with it and now it's broken. Why did you dink with it?

because sometimes it grinds when going in gear. also clutch pedal have to be completely on floor to have smooth gear changes. So, I tried to bleed the clutch slave and see if it helps any.

When was the throw out last replaced? And the pressure plate? Sounds like you may need a clutch job. Yes you have to drop the trans but it isn't the worst thing in the world

make sure if you drop the trans and do a clutch replacement, to have the flywheel surfaced (most machine shops can do this for $20-50) as putting a new clutch on a glazed or imperfect flywheel is wasted $$

I found my issue, the throwout bearing was on it way out, the ears that hold onto the fork is gone. So, new clutch from luk is ordered and i went ahead replace fly wheel anyway.
