so I'm still pretty new to the Cherokee world and haven't really been able to take it apart yet. but my bezel light went out and check fuses is their a bulb back their or any one else had this problem?

There are a few bulbs back there.

There are two bulbs for the turn indicators, one bulb for the hi beam indicator, and about 5 bulbs in the rear of the cluster that are the gauge backlights. When most of my lights went out, I just decided to get a little upgrade..

I probably should have wrote a thread on how to do it lol. I'll just give you some instructions on how to get the job done. Remember, do this at your own risk and DO NOT touch the odometer.

1. Remove the gauge cluster from the dash. There will be 4 screws holding the cluster in place.
2. Disconnect the plugs located on the rear of the cluster. There will be one on the left that has a white clip, the other will be in the center with a blue clip.
3. Your gauge cluster is now ready to be disassembled.
4. There are 4 gold screws attaching the plastic cover to the gauge cluster, Remove them.
5. Remove both the plastic cover and the grey plastic trim bezel
6. Look at the rear of the cluster. You will see markings next to screws that say "IGN" and "GND" - Basically, ignition and ground. These screws hold the gauges in place and also provide them power. There are other markings on different gauges for their signals, you get the point.
7. Remove one gauge at a time, handle them carefully as they can break VERY easily.
8. Each gauge will have two screws holding the metal gauge face in place. Remove the two screws, letting the gauge face hang freely. DO NOT remove the gauge faces or the gauge needle, this will result in gauge damage.
9. Using a pair of tin snips, cut the top left/right corner of the gauge face. This will allow the gauge overlay's wires to fit in properly.
10. Install the gauge overlay by slipping it over the needle and reattach the gauge face screws. DO NOT OVER TORQUE THE SCREWS it will result in damage to the gauge overlay.
11. Repeat the same process until all of the gauges are complete.
12. Remove the gauge backlight twist and lock bulbs located on the rear of the cluster.
13. Run gauge overlay wires out of the holes where the backlight bulbs once were.
14. Reattach all of the gauges to the cluster.
15. Reattach the grey cluster bezel and plastic cover using the 4 gold screws.
16. There should now be 3 wires with connectors running out of the rear of the cluster. Connect those to the transformer supplied with the gauge overlays.
17. Your transformer will now need a power source, I chose to crimp eyelets to the power leads and undo the "IGN" and "GND" screws to the ammeter. I then put the eyelets on the screws and reattached the ammeter. Now, when I turn the key; The gauges are illuminated. You can choose a different place to draw power from, but this is probably the most simple source and will ALWAYS work.
18. Attach the transformer box to the cluster, I chose 3M double sided tape.
19. Your new and improved cluster can now be reinstalled.
20. Figure out somewhere to mount the switch for the overlays, I put it on the lower interior trim panel. It can change the color of your gauge backlights, and can dim them aswell.
21. Your "new" gauges are now complete. Enjoy! I have gotten plenty of compliments on them and they are a 100% improvement over stock. Especially at night.
