SO i just got my 01 cherokee back from getting the dana 30 rebuilt, drove great for once not a problem however after a few hours of driving i start hearing a clunk and or knock noise when turning the steering right and locking it right, it only happens when i am stopped not when driving.
I have had the steering spacer replaced with a heavy duty one but have not checked yet if it is cracked.
Just wondering what are the usual symptoms for knocking when turning right, also mine is a RHD.

It could be an awful lot of things based on my personal experience
I have spent much quality time under my XJ checking and repairing various clunks caused by the following
(you just had the D30 rebuilt, so, if no one else is liable to check)..every nut and bolt that connects to it
steering box bolts x 3...they make a god awful sound when the snap, the others fail quick time, so check that !!
engine mounts/bolts
trans mount, especially including the big bolts from below
all suspension bolts
anything that was recently worked on
check exhaust for knocking on something
fan
After I replaced my D30, and did up the castle nuts and inserted split pins...new ball joints og any type can get sloppy after break ine, the split pin holds it together, but it is loose
