Default 2021 Steering Clunk

I am taking my 2021 in soon but am wondering if any of you newer KL owners have ever experienced an occasional very slight but noticeable clunk in your steering, even when going straight on smooth pavement? I just started noticing this yesterday while out and about. The steering feels normal otherwise and doesn't make any abnormal sounds or clunk while turning or going over bumps. Any ideas? Vehicle only has about 1k miles.

my grandma owns a 17 and I notice a driveline clunk or jolt if I brake in reverse good to unload brakes and suspension from forward natural “bind” and when it’s noticed is also braking in forward after doing that. However, I don’t consider this to be a very high quality vehicle... but I also don’t think it’s something that a high quality vehicle SHOULDNT have.

I chalk it up to lash because of the 4wd transfer system. A 2wd luxury car like mine is gonna have what less mechanical junctions for power transfer esp because it’s fwd, that’s just how if I. You could make the tolerances tighter but I don’t think you want your car behaving like a 1980 4x4 with a manual hub lock and u joint driveshafts rather than cv lol. You would trade the lash multiplied feeling for a feeling that everything is binding and resists inputs and skips and hops etc

I wouldn’t worry too much. Just remember that you can usually pin point the cause system of the issue by thinking about How It’s transferring to you. Seat? ? Wheel? Both? If both, different intensities or frequency? What makes it occur? Can you cause it to happen?
