98 xj aw4 has sat for a week, started perfect, drove 2 miles to store, bought groceries, come outside

click no start
battery gauge doesnt move(did when i drove it 15 mins earlier), rest of cluster works, dome lights, etc..

undid neg battery cables (wingnut) for a couple mins in desperation, no help

wiggled shifter

towed it to mechanic, wait to hear aboot it tmmw.

i have a new ignition switch that is at home (it just got there, hoping to fix my headunit/steering lock issues)

home is 8hrs away, i work 3wks at a time here in the mountains

ill be pissed if its the ignition switch.
