Well i wanted to see how it would look on my jeep so i thought would fab up and give it a try

here is the drawing and the lights i am gonna use for my headlights

 

pretty sure a memeber or here have round headlights. One i know is detours, however i dont think thats what you're going for. I'll try to see if i can remember who it is

 

theres a few XJs on here that have done the same it looks pretty good

 

And instead of steel plate (just looks like what you might be using from your drawing) use steel mesh, it makes it look great. However if you painted the plate black... hmmm

 

yeah i thought about black or even chrome diamond plate

as stated theres a few guys on here who have done so, there was one a while ago it was an older blue XJ and he managed to retain the factory blinker.

 

Your light looks like a tractor light.

 

I've been kicking the idea around for awhile, but after seeing it.... hmmm

 

they are LED fog lights from truck lite
