Default Cigarette lighter stopped working.

i was messing around with the wires behind my stereo and forgot i had the key turned. i heared a pop and now my cigarette lighter wont charge my phone. somone please tell me that its a fuse and i dont have to pull apart my dash or anything.

I don't blame you one bit. I feel the same way. Especially lately we have been getting a lot of people like this. They want someone to do all of the work and research for them and they won't even try to look for the problem or they won't give any info to help them. Then the just abandon there own post. I hate to say it. But, We have been getting a lot of Lazy and Dumb people lately.

If it's a fuse it should be a light blue 15 amp one. More importantly WHY were you messing with the wires? A fuse shouldnt blow just from that if they are all well connected. Something had to short to ground or bare wires touched etc. If it was me even if it turns out to be a blown fuse I'd still pull the dash apart and find the cause. It doesn't take long. I had my dash apart 3 times last week

True, fuses don't wear out and they don't blow for no reason.
