Headlights flicker on/off going down the road
92 Jeep Cherokee, as I'm driving down the road at night, the headlights will flicker off and on, they will totally black out and then come back on, if I pull back on the brights and hold them back they will stay on as long as I'm holding them back.
I'm thinking a short or bad switch possibly? Anyone had any experience with this?

Pretty common for the switch to melt down.. pull it and inspect where harness plugs in.
For a replacement find a good OEM switch, the parts store ones suck from my experience.

Make sure that the contacts in the connector are all clean. I have burned out several switches and melted more connectors until I got smart and put my headlights on a relay. The design on our XJ's lights is lousy. Also make sure that the connections in the headlight pigtails are clean as well but I bet it'll have something to do with the switch or connector.
