Chrysler 8.25 what oil?

Anyone know what gear oil to refill the Chrysler axle and how much? Any potential tricky parts doing this job?

75/90 easy job as long as the cover bolts are not rusted.You need some additive if its lsd.

'96 manual specs 2.5 pints which should put it 1/2" below the filler hole. The front diff takes 3.125 pints.

75w-90 GL5 is spec unless with towing pacakage thet spec 75w-140.

how do you know if you have the factory tow package with the gears??.

Request a factory build sheet from Chrysler. They just need your VIN number and you can do it on their web site...
