i bought a motor for my 90 cherokee and how do i tell if it is a high output or not? Thank you for helping

If the donor vehicle was a 1991 or later, and it is a 4.0 I-6, then it is an HO.

were does it tell me that at i went and looked on the manifold and in the door but nothin and the hood is gone thanks again

2 things look on the rear liftgate otherwise youll have to run the vin. # ps. look for chrysler stamp on intake man.

You tell by the year of manufacture. ALL XJ after 1991 with a 4.0 are HO motor. Vin # will tell you the year.
