Chrysler 8.25 Track Lock
Whats the best way to tell if i have track lock in my 8.25? I'm changing the diff fluid and need to know whether or not i need to add friction modifier... Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Raise both wheels and turn one by hand. If the opposite wheel turns the same direction, you most likely have a LSD diff. It's not always necessary to use the additive, add it only if the diff is noisy/chatters in a slow tight turn. The additive makes a LSD slip more, not grip more.

If you turn one wheel towards the front and the other wheel turnes toward to back, you have an open diff. You could always just use royal purple diff fluid. It dosnt require the use of any addative for limited slips, and if you dont, you still get a top of the line synthetic fluid.
