I have a jet stage 2 chip. Its not worth the money. The previous owner never installed it, and he gave it to me when I bought the jeep. I drove with it off for about a year and I installed it about 8 months ago. I didn't notice much of a difference in power or gas mileage.

Haha sorry. If you want to add a little more power and gain a few mpg's you might want to look into a free flowing exhaust and intake. After installing a intake and exhaust on mine i gained about 2 mpg's and also much better throttle response.

used Hypertech for about a month. 0 mpg gain. it did very good for about 30 seconds in throttle response. after it studied my system for about 30 sec., it crapped out. i did it like 4-5 times. i kept on thinking that i'm doing something wrong. but then i read online that other people have had the same experience.
oh, and it also caused my CE light to come on.

Those chips and everything are crap. Your real mpg/torque/hp gains are through engine "hardware" mods, not software. Cold air intakes, free flowing exhaust, strokers. Chips dont increase air flow, dont make the stroke greater, dont make the cam lobes larger. They just tweak gas input. Save your money and start getting other practical and worth-while mods.

I can promise you this...
Let's say you can get a performance chip for.. $150 bucks.
With that same money, you could do these things:
Snag Neon or Stratus injectors from the JY, clean em, and install them for like $40
Build your own cold air intake with Spectra parts from A/Z for lets say $50
Build your own exhaust from the cat- back for $90
Thats $180 total, and I can PROMISE you will have much higher gains then that chip can offer... PERMINANT gains that dont require computer tweaking
