Default Cherokee wont start

I have a 1996 Jeep cherokee and when I turn the key I get power but the engine wont start. I also get a clicking noise from the fuse box.

Thanks for the help.

Well need a little more information
1) does it crank?
2) are you getting fuel pressure?
3) are you getting spark?
4) have you checked ignition fuse etc?

So when you turn the key there is no sound except clicking? Ha e you made sure its not a dead battery?

Always verify battery cables and condition first.

1. Remove battery cables. Clean them AND the battery posts until they are SHINY. Connections are often overlooked and are the cause of many no-starts where the engine doesn't even turn over.

2. If you have performed step #1 above and still symptomatic, have your battery "load tested". Any parts store will do this for you for free. Load testing is the only accurate way of determining battery condition. Voltage testing in and by itself is absolutely inconclusive.
