Yeah thats it Brian. Exactly what I saw in their mag with the color blocks representing lift and tire size.

Which BFG's are they? Can't wait to see the 4.5" on that 97 XJ...I am so tempted still to get the RC 4.5 and run it on my 30's..
I really don't want to do an SYE yet and tc drop I can already tell ya on mine it's gonna suck since I have 1 bolt and 1 stud on each side..uhg...getting those studs out require welding the nut to it and then heating it to get it out.. I am thinking 3" RC with 1" spacers and 1" boomerang shackles...and I really don't ever want to go much bigger then 4-4.5 anyways...

It works 90% of the time.

Normally tires come with raised white lettering one one side. Just tell em to mount em so they are black letters out.
For normal off roading through mud and trails, just pull back the lever into 4-hi. The 4x4 Part Time light should come on, unless it's not working (light) which is common. If it's a little difficult to pull it back, shift into neutral and let it move just a little while you pull back. It helps the gear mesh easier. For technical 4wheeling that requires more power or slow crawling, use 4-low.

Just turn the white lettering to the inside. JY is the best place to find a stock roof rack.
When you encounter any condition that you can possibly have any tire spin just place it in 4WD Hi until you can determine how slick it really is then you may decide that 4LO might be better. It will give you lots of torque but a slower rate of speed.
I just use 4WD anytime I am off pavement til I get used to how it drives in a new Jeep. You will see that they each drives differently than the last. Once you have mastered off pavement driving with 4WD then you will be better able to decide when you need it and when you don't. JMHO

Here's another tip. I've seen people do this more than once. Don't wait till you are actually stuck to put it in 4wd. Sometimes it won't engage and you will stay stuck.
I admit this is what happened to me on my very first time driving my wrangler off road. The first 4x4 i ever had and i waited till i got stuck to shift it into 4x4, and couldn't. I had to get yanked.
