cherokee oil filter adapter orings
They had several in stock at the dealership I went to. Bought two sets- one for my 94 that was leaking and one for my 00xj- will do it this spring when it warms up.

The reason it will take a long time is if the alan/bolt is hard to get at or stuck. Mine was not took about 25 min and I changed my oil

If you want to get this done and are short on room for a ratchet.. try these its a l-type star set from advance auto. Parts made by Performance Tool its was like 10 bucks and made this really easy..
On a side note, make sure you remove your filter first before doing this.. for some reason it was a beast to get off once everything was unbolted..

On my 91 jeep I would have liked to use a pipe, but was away from home and did not have one. A breaker bar is a must. You would have laughed at the daisy chain of box end/open ended wrenches / 2x4 combination I had to use but it worked. On my 00 jeep, I was at home and a pipe on a ratchet worked like a champ.
FYI, after revisiting this post and reading some of the above posts, I bought kits from the dealership for less than $10 ea and both kits fit my 91 and 00 perfectly.

I found this set of O-rings for 3.99 at Morris 4x4Center.

Im glad I found this thread. I actually bought this help aisle kit and after finally getting the t60 torx head bolt to break free and installing these new o-rings, it started leaking worse after 24 hours. Im getting ready to replace them again but this time with the dealer o-rings, hoping this stops the leak.
