Hopefully this link will help some of you decide on which filter is the right choice for your rig.

What I want to know is where I can get one of those amsoil filters that would replace the 4.5"x5" K&N cone filter...Need to find a amsoil sales rep...

Whowey where are you. He is the Amsoil rep on CF. Sent me some literature but I will switch when I run out of Mobil 1 oil. Didn't really read about the air filters, but will go back and read that now. I read JP every month cover to cover and didn't put too much faith in that particular article but will go re-read it again.

ok so i now have another set of working lights in the front on the winch bumper and a clinometer on the inside right above my rearview mirror.
about my engine.... well my dad looked at it and to fix it he said he would basically have to dismantle the whole thing... he even took it down to a 4x4 performance shop and they knew they would have to tear the engine apart to fix it so idk what we're gonna do now! my dad said it's still running so that's a plus lol

Yeah did they give you any idea what was wrong? My jeep now either has a lose flywheel/flexplate (looks the same to me and I know flywheel is a manual trany) or noisy torque converter..needless to say I am not about to pull the trany so it's going to a shop for that..

OKC you can actually check it your self w/o pulling it apart. There is an inspection hole and you remove the cover and use a prybar to check if everything is tight looking for hairline cracks with a flashlight or droplight. Then you at least know before you shell out the cash for repairs.

You are talking about that dust cover that the starter mounts onto well it's put on before the starter is bolted up right? Yeah I need to get out this week and pull that off and take a gander...It was such a pain in the **** to move that wheel with a pry bar uhg..I have a feeling one of those 4 (??) bolts may have come lose then...Oh well better to check to make sure..if the flex plate has cracks I aint doing it...lol Sorry I pulled the motor and swapped it but damn I do not want to pull a trany..I still think my distributor is off by 1 tooth...although other tell me if it was it wouldn't start and run...just starts funny...but that could be the issue with the flex plate and such as well..
