Question Cherokee Country

I have a '96 Cherokee Country. I want to lift it. Body/suspension wise, how is it different from an XJ?

It's still and XJ regardless of the trim level.
Unibody, so no body lift.

Theirs a terrific thread on CF showing dozens of lift kits by lift range and cost. Not a clue how to find it. Suggest you modify/new post with "lift" in the title.

She didn't ask about lift kits.

No, I didn't ask, but that is what my problem is. I took it to a shop who said they could do it, I let them, and I have had gringing noise when I let go of accelerator, and now some other noise all the time has started. Found out too late about the unibody/suspension lift thing. Most stuff I've read talks about Cherokee XJ and was just making sure it all applies to my Country.

What lift?
Height?
SYE?

Multiple pics would help, including one or two showing he rear drivetrain.

3". Say they used a Rough Country Suspension lift kit, but the second place I took it to added shims to the rear to level it out. Now I think the new grinding noise is from the drive shaft. I'm having someone else check it out this afternoon. Any advise on questions I should ask would help.

You bumped a 3 year old thread to ask your question that has nothing to do with yours?

Sell it and get something that works without the trinkets.
