Default changed AW4 fluid...

Only about 2 quarts came out instead of 4..... so I topped and will make another attempt another day.

did you just drain it through the plug? or did you drop the pan and change the filter also?

It usually wont all come out unless you drop the pan. I had about 2.5 quarts come out throught the plug and a little over 1.5 quarts come out when i dropped the pan.

That's really weird. I did it twice, and when I did It 4 quarts came out each time. Something's not right here.

Assuming your measurements are correct, something must have blocked your drain hole. You should be able to drain all the fluid in the pan by removing the drain plug, usually 3.75-4.0 quarts.

rough estimates, but i was going by how much went into the drain pan i was using...

That's been my experience. About 3.75 quarts.

When I drained mine (drain only, no pan drop), I only got between 2 and 3 qts.

I just drained mine via the plug and only got 2.5 quarts also. Used a pan with measurements on the inside.

I got an even 3 quarts every time I drained the pan thru the plug.
