Its held on with 4 clips, one at each corner. Just grab and pull. It shouldnt take much. If youre worried about slamming it with the shifter, just move the shifter back.

Don't be shy though. You will have to give it a good yank. It is pretty sturdy though and should not break. Had mine in and out more times then I would like to admit.

I just did a custom double din conversion on mine to install a dvd/sat nav system. And I was blown away how easy the center bezel/waterfall comes off on these. All my previous vehicles required being held on by screws in all kinds of hidden places. This one, just the clips. Simply move the shifter back, then grab it evenly on both sides and start pulling.
and goes back on just as easy too.
