what kinda things would you notice if you drove with a ccv valve that was disconnected.

Possible oil sprayed under your hood... possibly on things that don't react well to lube. Again, just a possibility. Other than that, not sure but I do think the crank case ventilation is important.

oil on hot exhaust possible big red truck with guys in yellow coats putting the fire out when oil catches fire from blowing on hot exhaust.

There is no actual "valve", but the plastic tubing coming and going from the valve cover is VERY important.

If anything is broken, replace it. You can get the entire kit of CCV hardware from the dealer for around $35. Some parts stores also carry these parts.

i know its not a valve but everyone seems to think they are valves and that they are called pcv not ccv, so i was not really sure how to ask the question so that everyone would understand. but my ccv line has completely ripped in half and i was wondering what problems i might motice driving it while i wait for my ccv kit to come in the mail.

if the end are still good get some rubbewr hose that fits over it and cut out the center and stick the ends in hose for easy fix
