Default Car dies after turn over

So I was driving down the road today and my baby just stopped. all the lights and everything stayed on, but it just turned off. I pulled over and tried to turn it over and it cranks, but almost immediately it turns off. what do I do? the accelerator cable works too because I can press the gas but it doesn't stay turn on.

If the engine catches while cranking but dies right after releasing the key back to "ON", check the ballast resistor for the fuel pump. Located on the firewall. You can jumper past it if you like, it isn't necessary. It's bypassed in "start", but otherwise inline with the fuel pump.

Correct. The resistor itself may be bad, or just the connections at each end. I've experienced this first hand. If in doubt, bypass it.

White ceramic deally on the driver's side inner fender near the air cleaner. One wire at each end.

Mine does the same thing only a tad bit different. It dies and it won't crank for a while. I've never had this problem before.

No. Unplug both connectors from the ballast resistor and hook them together, eliminating the ballast resistor.
