Can't get fuel pump assembly to fit. PLEASE HELP
trying to install my new Delphi fuel pump assembly on my 91 Cherokee. I can not get the damn thing to sit right for the life of me. I am wanting to give up and take it to a professional. Any advice on how to get this thing to lock in place?

Can you get it to sit right without the o-ring first? Make sure you have everything in the right orientation especially the fuel sender float. If everything will go in, then work on the lock ring. I used a file to "sharpen" the tabs so that they would fit under the tabs on the tank. Then it spun on with just some light tapping on a drift.
It's easier it you drop the tank. Not sure if on a 91 if the pump goes in the side but I've done it both ways and it's easy if you have the tank on the ground and can fool with it there.
