The trouble with bleeding this type of setup, is that as you push fluid down from the top slowly, the bubbles want to rise in the fluid, and don't come out.
The best way to do it is to inject fluid at the bottom, and remove excess out the top. You have to seal the bleeder threads with some teflon tape to make this work properly.
I use a pressure bleeder tank connected to the master cylinder, it flushes new fluid down and out faster than the bubbles can rise, and works very well.

tried bleeding my 90, gave up and started pumping and all of the sudden it started working, can't explain but it's worth a try. did get all the air out first, took about ten min of working the clutch till it pumped up. If it doesn't even try to get hard you either have a bad throwout or a old worn out clutch hose.

Back in the 80's i had a Chevy truck that had the hydro clutch assembly go out. I replaced it with a new set (Master & Slave), and could not get it too bleed to save my life, i even had a pressure bleeder hooked up to it.... still would not bleed. I finally got so frustrated that i just walked away from it, and came back in the morning, I did leave the cap off, and imagine that, bye morning time the air worked itself out, and it worked fine.......
