No holding the throttle at 1800-2000 will keep it running but it will sputter. Its almost as if the fuel pump primes everything fine but doesnt deliver enough fuel later on. Well, that is what we think now

I would check your fuel pressure at the rail then...

X2.... 49 PSI +/- 5 PSI, check before start, while starting, and while running.

Put key in igntion and turned it on. Pump primed fuel rail to 39 psi then receed back to zero. Turned key off then started jeep fuel pressure stayed at 42 psi for the 30 seconds the jeep ran before it cut its self off and the fuel pressure returned to zero. Started jeep again and mainted the throttle at about 2000 rpms and it maintained 42 psi until i let out of the throttle and the jeep cut its self off, the fuel pressure returned to zero. So i still have the same problem.

The correct pressure is 49+/- 5psi, and it should maintain that pressure.

I'd start looking at the fuel system.
Leaking injectors.
Bad fuel pump assy.
Bad pressure regulator/checkvalve.

Pull the fuel rail as a complete assembly, put some sort of bucket/pan under the turn key see if any fuel leaks out of any of the injectors just to rule out an injector problem. I am leaning towards something with the fuel pump, as 96+, the fuel pump, filter, regulator are all in the tank as a module.

I physically watched the injectors get tested and they are fine. The fuel pressure maintains at 42psi. Only 7 psi off.i feel while it is just outside the realm, it shouldnt make the motor cut off. I have one mechanic saying crank position sensor. One mechanic saying distributor. One mechanic saying ECM

Assuming that the OBDII system is functioning properly, any problem with the sensors or PCM would result in a Check Engine Light.

If it was my rig I'd replace the Pressure Regulator. (Yes it is replaceable.)

So drop the tank and replace the fuel pump, pressure regulator, and filter assembly?

You can replace just the regulator/check valve without removing the pump assy. from the tank.

Some folks will recommend doing the entire pump assy...not a bad idea just more expensive.
