Default Can anyone identify this?

I picked up an 8.25 from a local junkyard, its from a 96 but I didn't get to see what month.

I've read that u can't tell a 27 spline from 29 from the outside, but does this sticker mean anything to anyone?

I searched on the net but didn't come up with anything. If it doesn't decipher I'll just pull the diff cover off, pull the spider gears (installing locker anyway) and just count splines.

Thanks.

5209= 29 and 50. We knows it can't be a 50 spline so 29 it is.

96 was the year they changed it. Earlier models had the 27 spline and later models had the 29 spline.

it's the cheapest replacement of the 4 here:

so I would bet 27, are we taking bets??

That's a dislexic guess. LOL. The number noted is the Chrysler part number for the rear axle assembly.
