I did a search on the tiopic and got a few hits, but not really what I was looking for, so....I've been toying with the idea of doing this for a while. Several guys in my club have it on their TJs and other stuff and I really like it!! Ever since I got my winch control wire wrapped around the steering wheel
last time out....kinda been the deciding factor ( stupidly set it on the dash and it fell as I was wheeling a technical section)

- Where did you mount it? (pics would be great)
- Did you DIY it or go thru 12voltguy.com? (like seemingly everyone else has done) IF DIY, do you have a write-up?

I have been looking for some ideas on this as well. I haven't had much luck either. I will probably order from 12volt guy. Not sure where to mount the control either. I was thinking about right in front of the 4wd shift lever.

that's where I've got the ARB controls on mine so that wouldn't work for me, but it is a good spot....recommend getting the fighter jet style toggle cover thing b/c I hit the ARB Compressor switch alot as is.
I thought about removing the ashtray and putting it there, but I've got other switches there too for lights, etc. Don't know, might be a good spot on the slope of the center console (have good wire access, but lose some storage room)
My most favorable choice right now is on the overhead console inside the "garage door opener flap", but drawback to that is having to deal with running wires under the headliner...PITA
so really not sure....
