I am a licensed refrigeration tech for household appliances, however, i have a question about my jeeps ac. its a 90 retro'd to 134a. works great, and has for years. my question is i am about to to a total vacuum and recharge and usually on refrigeration equip i will do a "sweep charge". that is blowing everything out from the highside allowing the compressor to pull itself into a vacuum and also blowing any contaminets out of the system. when i open the high side on a car it blows oil. will it blow all the oil out or just a small amount?

Heres a dumb question
is the engine hot when your trying to do this?

I have not tried to do anything. my question was if it WOULD blow all the oil out or how much of it. on refrigeration units no oil blows from the high side, thus my question.
