A/C question about a '93 XJ
Last week my a/c started to not cool as well as it has been doing. I've owned the vehicle since '03 and have had no trouble until now. How can I tell if it has been converted to R134A without a label/sticker saying so? Is there anyone out there making R12 compatible fix-it kits I could use if it is still R12? Any ideas on how much a conversion to R134A would cost? Thanks in advance.

Thanks I fully intend to but answers to my original questions will help me in deciding what actions to take to make the appropriate repairs and hopefully not waste time and money.

Look at the fill valve. If it is original and small, still r12. If it has a bigger valve screwed over it, its been converted to r134
