Default A/C not blowing cold

I had my compressor replaced about two years ago. Today I used A/C pro Professional Formula Refrigerant before using this my compressor clutch was not engaging. I filled it to the proper level and stopped. I was hoping that it would blow cold air but it still will not. I felt the lines and the top one was not cold and the bottom line was hot. If anymore information needed please let me know. Let me know what I should do next.

thanks

Check the fuses. If all good try jumping the switch on the line with a paper clip to see if the compressor engages.

The compressor engages now after I put in some Refrigerant. It will come on and off.

Sounds like not enough freon to me. Add some more till it stays engaged longer and blows cold.

Would it be a good idea to use R-134a Super Seal A/C Leak Sealer?

Can try and see if it works. Depends how severe the leak is. It could buy time if its just a slow leak.

I would also put 134 with dye in it. Then you might see the leak

also i think the compressor is supposed engage/disengage during operation. so if it's cold your good

Quick update. I noticed that when i am going up hill and using higher RPM's my ac starts to blow through defrost vents. Could a leak in the vacuum lines/reservoir, also cause freon leak?

Vacuum leak will not cause Freon leak.

Compressor questions. My compressor will run for about 2 seconds then cut off. My refrigerant reading goes up for the 2 seconds the compressor runs and then cuts and the reading goes back down. Can someone let me know if this means i need more R-134A?

Mine would not blow cold. Lucky for me, at my school they have a vacuum and compressor and anything else you would need for an A/C system. I took the old freon out and depressurized the lines. Then created a vacuum or tried to take all the air I could out of it. I let the vacuum sit for about an hour. Then I put the correct amount of freon in and now it blows cold at about 42 degrees

Just wanted to give y'all an update. I got the freon in the Jeep and now the compressor will run all the time. But i do have a freon leak and also a vacuum leak. Any pointers on how to go about fixing these items?

Yes - your accurate refrigerant reading happens while the compressor is running. When it is clicking on and off, you will have inaccurate pressure readings.

As far as the refrigerant leaks - best course of action is to use a R134A refrigerant with dye added. Most of the refills do already have that additive. Also, pray it's not your evaporator because that is a royal pain in the **** to DIY, and expensive it you take to a mechanic. I did it last summer, and it took me about 7 hours and a bunch of busted knuckles.
