Default A/C compressor

Is it possible to remove this, and then get a smaller belt and put onto all other pulleys? PO removed a/c lines, and I don't plan on putting them back in.
I'm kinda worried that it would throw off timing possibly? also I know they have the belt going around all the pulleys in a certain order to keep everything running right. Not really needed, but I wanted to know if it could be done, and if anyone has done it...

convert your ac in to an air compressor so you can air up and down on the trails.

x2 on what Finneys said. Thats what i did to mine.

The serp belt has nothing to do with your ignition timing. hit up the junkyard and find a XJ that doesn't have A/c and grab the bracket and Idler pulley where the A/c compressor would be. Thus the serp belt will retain the proper routing

does your fan shroud show 2 different diagrams for routing of the serp. belt? one for a/c, the other without? if so, yes you can.

Thanks for the quick answers guys. Is there a write up about converting to an air compressor? I think that is a really cool idea, but I would be clueless on how to do it.
