Ok so I am about to be tackling this RE 3.5 lift say in a week...Anyways I need to defintiely replace the front bumpstops since I will have the springs off...So my question is what do you guys suggest for a 91 XJ? Also rear as well but those can be installed anytime so that's not a serious issue to do during the lift install..So toss out some ideas for me..my front stock ones are rotten anyways so need to completely replace them..

Use hockey pucks to extend the front ones and/or make them from hockey pucks. Rears can be changed as required as you stated.

I used 3 hockey pucks with my 3" lift.
You can get another set of stock rubber bumpstops to replace your rotting ones, or just leave em cuz the hockey pucks are a bit soft.

well I'd leave teh stock ones up front except if I was to hit em coming down they would likely shatter...LIke I said those are so rotted they are just falling apart randomly..Yeah I plan on hocky pucks on the lower spring perch but need to replace the stock ones..May just order stock replacements from crown or somethin..
You drill a hole (size depending on which bolt size, i used 3/8) through the middle of each hockey puck and then drill a hole (if there isn't already one) on the lower spring perch. Bolt it all together and you are done. I recommend lower spring perch bumpstops over longer rubber bumpstops because when you flex, the axle moves back some and the bumpstops will rub on the springs. There's no rubbing with this setup.
You will have to fish the nut onto the bolt under the passenger side spring perch because of the trackbar mount is in the way. It's a little tricky but easily done with pliars but the driver's side is open and accessable with your fingers.

OKC are you going to do a write-up on your install? Since the 3.5" RE lift seems to be quite popular perhaps it would help others that plan on installing the same lift in the future. Granted most lifts are fairly similiar and straight forward on install, but it never hurts to have a bit more insight and any problems someone else may have had....

Yeah I plan on documenting it as much as I can..So yeah I'll do a writeup of the lift install, track bar install and maybe even a couple other things...
I glued my pucks. Just get some heavy duty outdoor glue (I used gorilla glue) and it'll hold forever. It takes some finesse to get the pucks in between the spring with the glue on it though. I got a little spillage but its been holding for 4 months now with no signs of letting go. Good luck.

I have done a lot of flexing. When I first put them on, I went a few miles from my house to test them. I don't have any rear bump stops (in the process of doing that now) but the front seemed to hold up. Had the front right ad left off the ground in a few places and nothing looked wrong. I went to Flagstaff a few weeks later (northern AZ) and beat the hell out of the Jeep there. Still, no problems.
