hahahah yeah prettymuch. plus its a pain when u put it on the lift rack. I have access to all sorts of parts. the body shop i work at it just did a full frame swap on a f350. they threw out the rancho shocks. i was in shock so i asked the manager if i could take em. and then put them in my tool box. lol i also ot the sole surviving D ring from the old frame. how i am gona put it on i dont know yet. lol. but theres a JY down the street and a Jeep dealership too. Ever since i bought it i dont see too many XJs rollin around.

Just figured I'd throw this opinion out there. If you're thinking of putting ZJ seats into your XJ, do not hesitate. I feel more support from the seats and love the slight boost in height it gives me, I like the angle of sight. DEFINITELY worth it, especially when I only paid $40 for the whole set of seats

For instance. Under suspension it says that S10 shocks will be good for a lift after you put on the bastard lift.
Ok, which year S10? they made them for quite a few years and they probably updated the suspension a few times in their run.
So I look up 96 S10 shocks to check on maybe buying them new.
Huh? Completely different than the XJ No bar pin at the top and the compressed and extended shock lengths are shorter than STOCK XJs with about 4 inches less travel. Now am I gonna keep checking across all the different years? Not likely. This info probably came from a friend of a friend that has another friend that said it worked for him Honest!
If your going to grace us with your experience and wisdom please be MORE SPECIFIC, such as year, model, trim package, etc of the donor vehicle.
Here is an example. I want disc brakes on my 8.25 29 spline rear.
With the help of a good guy at the local Chrysler dealership we spent an hour checking out what is available for a direct swap.
Most of the 92 to 98 Grand Cherokees up here have rusted out too badly to get parts from and the backing plates are no longer available.
BUT it looks like the 2003 Liberty Renegade with the V6 has all the parts for a direct swap. Notice all that extra info in that sentence. I could have said just Liberty and left it at that. Unfortunatly the 2002 Liberty never had that option. I found one locally and have grabed everything I could off the rear end. I will be doing a write up on this swap as soon as I get my shed cleaned out. I will also get you part numbers too so your not left scratching your head.

I DID SEARCH THIS THREAD but need to know if seats from a 2002 Grand will be EASILY modified to fit a 91 XJ?
What would be involved?
Easily means for one with basic skills and maybe friends who could help with the harder parts.
Thanks

When most say search, they mean search the whole forum.. or more easily search Google.
I'm pretty sure if you use the xj brackets they're practically a bolt on mod.
