It actually is easier than that. Use the 97 plus cable and some self tappers. Mine works with no issues

My drivers side is sagging so I was going to replace the coil spring was wondering what would be a junk yard swap to get a couple of inches of lift

Default STEERING GEAR BOX question

Sorry if this has been asked already but with over 2K comments easier to post it...will a steering gear box from a 98 S-10 Blazer 4x4 fit an 89 XJ ? (Mine) heard they make a good upgrade... Or should I hold out for one from a Durango instead ???

it's all the same idea. Doesn't matter what vehicle the leaves come from.

yup. Basically you use the main leaf from your stock XJ pack, then cut the ends off the blazer leafs as needed to align the centering pin and create a pack. Combination of XJ/other leafs is up to you - different combinations will net more/less lift and load carrying capacity
