Also I don't plan on getting in water passed my bumper! It cost me 2 alternators doing that so no more deep water for me!

You can go through water a little above the bumper in short passes. I have with my CAI a few times, even tho i still dont RECOMMEND you do it.

I Know a C.A.I works Im literally watching my I.A.T's drop right off my phone. Also explain why my intake manifold is cool to the touch after my drive to work? Over the winter it the tb & intake manifold would get ice cold! So your wrong C.A.I intakes. work
If you don't have a heat shield, you don't have a C.A.I. UNLESS it's pulling air from outside the engine bay. If you put in that K&N that sits in the same spot as the factory air box, it won't have any more worthwhile effect than if you had replaced your factory air filter. And you might need a new IAT.

That's why I'm gonna delete my A/C and relocate my alternator up high. I need to do more homework on that project.

i've been considering this as well. the only time i use my A/C is when it rains and only to defog the window, so as long as the blower motor wroks, the window's should stay clear.
it seems simple enough though. put a pully in the current alternator position and then make a bracket to mount the alternator in the current compressor position. should also take a little stress off the engine.

another thought is once the work is doen it would be easy to reproduce and sell. now if i only had a junk XJ sitting around i could start the fab work and continue to use mine as my DD.

Exactly. I've already pulled my condenser and most of my lines. Heat still works just fine on all settings if you keep the vacuum ball, and that's how I defog the windshield.

Oops, we should get back on topic.

it might not be a cold air intake key word cold bit it does.let the engine breath better especially for 19 buck you can't really harm anything you get style points and you get better flow. its certainly not worth the tag price of 250 tho

well slightly back on topic, it would be great to do this with the ZJ V8 alternator. maybe even fab the backet so no grinding would be required.
