Default Broken water pump bolts

OK so I'm in the middle of my waterpump repair and I have 2 broken bolts. Both are next to the timing cover, and both broke right at the head. I have about 1/2 sticking out to grab on to. I've been soaking then every few hours with penetrating fluid and have a torch to heat the metal. Any other suggestions to extracting theses pesky bolts

Vise grips as tight as you can possibly get them

Vice Grips, EZ outs, Drill and tap in that order.

If you have a torch heat the piece red hot to break the bond the rust has made then vice grips on the offending bolt while still hot.

Same thing happened to me when I replaced my water pump. I had to have the broken bolt drilled out and a new thread tapped. I only had about 1/8 of inch sticking out of the engine, not really enough to grab onto with any force.

If heating doesn't work try freezing the bolt. I had to do that on a bolt on my XJ. You can get a can of freeze off at any auto parts store.

Heat up and let cool down 3 times. Spray with PB or whatever.
