Default broken throttle cable?

tell me I'm not screwed? easy to replace? i stripped the torx bits that hold that bracket down to the intake manifold so i can't take that off to get at it.

Ack. I hate it when that stuff happens. Always in places with limited access too.
I'd consider taking a dremel with a small cut-off wheel and cutting a flat notch into the screw heads, then unscrewing them with a stubby flat blade.

Those puppys are tight huh! When you were taking them off were you using a torx bit and drive?

yeah. You'll be working that spring when you step on the gas otherwise.
doesn't that cable assembly just pull up through the mounting tab once it's disconnected?

That plastic just gets brittle with age and heat. I looked at my heater control valve the wrong way and it broke, lol.
I don't know who thought it was a good idea to make radiator tanks out of that same stuff, but they're on "The List".

the new throttle cable has tabs to lock it in, you really don't need any tools to replace it, i just did mine thats how i know!
