Default Broken Sway Bar Link

1990 Jeep Cherokee... So I noticed I have some bad inside tread wear on front passenger tire, figured it was just a toe issue so I got to adjusting the tie rod and while I was underneath the jeep I noticed the sway bar link was sheared off at the top. I figured not a big deal cause I just replaced the link bushings on my 98 and I could just swap links but the links on my 98 are almost an inch longer. Both suspensions are stock. Can I swap the longer links from my 98 with no problems?

You should be able to swap em no problem. Post a picture of the angle that your sway bar is at now

Good deal. That's the perfect angle.

I don't know how much (if at all) the sway bar contributes to even tire wear. I'd have a look at your ball joints for that issue. Jack up your jeep a tad so the tires are off the ground, stick a pry bar under them and lift up. While doing that, look at your ball joints for play.

ya I did already check the ball joints and u-joints and all seemed good. I was wondering how the broken link may contribute as well since I've read bout quite a few jeeps running no front sway bar at all. when i checked the toe it was at 3/16, changed it to 1/16. Also a little bit of wear on front drivers side tire outside edge, not as bad as the passenger tire though.

Ive only taken the waggy offroad once since purchased and it was more of a scenic drive so I figure the link broke when I hit a pothole in the city (Winnipeg). I believe I know where it happened too because it was one of those potholes that prompted a **** lol

How would you adjust the angle? By the size of the links? Do you know specs of what the angle should be?
